Fitness club membership and home fitness kits

With the Silver&Fit®* Healthy Aging and Exercise Program, you can get a health club membership at participating fitness clubs as well as use home fitness kits and stay fit kits. The program also includes daily live Facebook workouts, a smartphone app, Signature Class Videos, over 250 on-demand exercise classes, access to a certified lifestyle health coach and much more. All at no extra cost to you.

Benefit allowance for dental services

HealthPartners UnityPoint Health plan members get an annual $1,000 dental benefit allowance to use for preventive and comprehensive care.

You can use any dental provider you want, and there aren’t any waiting periods – your benefits are ready as soon as your coverage starts.

Non-Medicare covered eyewear

As a member, you’ll get an annual $100 benefit allowance for non-Medicare covered prescription eyewear. You can visit any optical provider to find the eyewear that suits you best.

Hearing aids through TruHearing®

We're excited to partner with TruHearing to offer hearing aids for a $699 or $999 copay (depending on technology level) per hearing aid, up to two per year.

You'll have a personal TruHearing consultant for help with questions about benefits, finding providers and even scheduling an appointment through a three-way call. At your appointments, you'll get an audiogram and discuss hearing aid options. Plus, you can place an order and make copays at the doctor's office.

After your purchase, you'll get three follow-up visits for fittings and adjustments as well as a 45-day risk-free trial. Hearing aids arrive in two to seven days. Keep in mind, you must use TruHearing providers to get this benefit.

Travel coverage for care away from home

With a HealthPartners UnityPoint Health Medicare plan, you can use your travel benefit to get in-network coverage in the United States. To qualify, you’ll need to be traveling outside your home state for at least 30 days. You’ll get all plan-covered services at your in-network benefit level for up to nine consecutive months.

To activate this benefit, call Member Services at 888-360-0544 (TTY 711). Let us know when you plan to leave and when you plan to come back. You can also log on to your account to activate this benefit.

Assist America®**

If something unexpected happens while you're more than 100 miles from home – or traveling internationally – you'll have Assist America on your side. You’ll also be covered worldwide for emergency or urgently needed care.

You can call Assist America 24/7, nationwide and worldwide to talk to experienced clinicians. They can help determine your need for medical care or coordinate post-stabilization transportation to the nearest international medical facility, or your home.

Easy options to get and manage medicine

Pick up your medicine from an in-network pharmacy, or use our preferred cost-sharing mail order pharmacy to have prescriptions delivered. There’s no extra cost for delivery. You can usually expect to get your meds within seven to ten business days from the time the pharmacy receives your order.

Telehealth (virtual care) services

Illness doesn’t follow a 9-5 schedule, and neither do we. If you live in Iowa, we’ve got you covered with our 24/7 online clinic, virtuwell.com. At Virtuwell, board-certified nurse practitioners diagnose and treat common conditions like sinus and bladder infections, colds, flu, rashes and much more.

The best part? You can get the diagnosis you need without leaving home – there aren’t any appointments or waiting rooms, and you don’t need to have a camera on your computer. If you need a prescription, we’ll send it to your local pharmacy.

In addition, our plans cover video visits, phone visits and e-visits – talk to your doctor to see if these are an option for you. For complete coverage details, refer to your plan’s Evidence of Coverage (EOC).
